About Us
Message From The Senior Pastor & First Lady
Welcome to Trinity Community Church of God. Trinity's Mission is to reach and care for persons of all cultures and ages with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are geared towards building healthy families, Christian discipleship, and leadership development.
We're a Pentecostal church that embraces the fivefold Full Gospel message: that Jesus Christ is Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer, Spirit Baptizer and coming King. We are affiliated with the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee, USA.
We value and celebrate God's presence and power in our services. You can expect a rich and edifying spiritual encounter with Christ whenever you visit. You will be fed the pure Word of God. You will enter a worship environment in which the manifestations of the Holy Spirit in healing and deliverance are experienced.
Our services and ministry programs are geared to meet the needs of all age groups and cultures. A warm welcome awaits you.
God bless you richly is our prayer.
Sincerely,
Pastor Errol and Fay Stewart
Our Pastor Bishop Errol Stewart
Richard Lischer’s cruciform’ view of the pastoral vocation ( The Called Life: An Essay on Pastoral Vocation) separates those who are professional performers from those who minister by going on in weakness and frailty, faithfully providing a ‘ministry of presence’ by the pure teaching of the Word, and humble mediation of the sacraments and worship. Pastor Stewart embraces Lischer's cruciform view of ministry. His passion is to reach people with the Gospel of the crucified and risen Jesus in a caring and compassionate way.
He is a servant of the people. He met Christ as a teen and has served the kingdom of God the Church of God, in several capacities. The following areas of service are milestones in his ministry.
- President , Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, University of the West Indies, Trinidad
- Senior Pastor
- Church Planter
- District Bishop, Ontario
- Church of God Ontario Regional Board Member, Youth & Christian Education
- Church of God Ontario Regional Council Member
Presently Senior Pastor of Trinity Community Church of God, Pastor Stewart has been given success in business and academia. Blessed with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Business and Economics, he has worked in senior management capacities in agriculture, corporate banking and finance consulting. He is presently a Doctor of Ministry Candidate at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, Cleveland, Tennessee. Bishop Stewart's driving passion is to live daily in God's Presence while he accomplishes God's purpose of being a Pastor.
Bishop Stewart is happily married to Fay for over 26 years. They have two sons, Gareth and Gavin, both Christian young men pursuing tertiary studies while serving in the local church.
Our First Lady First Lady Fay Stewart
Confident and soft-spoken, Mrs. Fay Stewart has been involved in Christian ministry for over 30 years and has served with her husband, Bishop Errol Stewart, throughout their over 26 years of marriage. A woman of prayer and godly wisdom, she exhibits a quiet power in the Spirit that empowers and uplifts others.
After much prayer and in consultation with her husband First Lady Fay has set a course for Trinity's Women's Discipleship Ministry under the theme "Forging Destinies for Generations," based on God's Word to Rebekah in Genesis 25:23; "Two nations are in your womb." She is passionate about equipping women to make a lasting and godly impact on their families and future generations. She is convinced that women are the collective womb of tomorrow's nations and has embraced God's mandate to lead the women in her care to help shape godly destinies for today's youth and children.
As President of Trinity's Women's Discipleship, First Lady Fay also has oversight of Trinity's Benevolence Ministry. Under her leadership this ministry has expanded its food bank services to the poor, increased donations to select charities and initiated a scholarship fund to help young women attain their educational dreams. She also established Trinity's nursery that ministers to babies and toddlers.
First Lady Fay is a graduate of Jamaica Open Bible Institute. She was a career banker for over 17 years and has owned and operated her own business. In addition to her responsibilities at Trinity, she serves on the Regional Women’s Discipleship Board of the Church of God in Ontario.
Alongside her husband Sister Fay, as she is affectionately called, challenges women to be a blessing to their husbands, their families and their communities. An increasingly sought after speaker at Women's functions, her love for her Lord Jesus, dependence on the Holy Spirit, and devotion to her family are the hallmarks of who she is.
