    Our History

On Sunday October 27, 1974 seven members under the leadership of Rev. Claude Anderson founded the North Toronto Church of God. On March 16, 1975, the church moved its operation to St. Matthews United Church, 729 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto.

In 1978, with a membership of approximately twenty people, the church purchased a small building at 94 Vaughn Rd. In April 2002 the church purchased the present property at 46 Denison Rd in Toronto and changed its name to Trinity Temple Church of God.
On April 15, 2007, Bishop Errol Stewart was appointed Senior Pastor. The church recently decided to change its name to Trinity Community Church of God to better reflect its community focus.

With a current congregation of over three hundred, Trinity is actively involved in the community. We operate a weekly meal program and a food bank for those in need. The church also offers youth programs, tutoring, computer training, bi-weekly seniors programs, and weekly religious services. Trinity also donate monies to select local organizations such as the Humber River Regional Hospital and the Sickle Cell Foundation, as well as to foreign missions to Haiti, Guyana, Guatemala, India and other countries; channeled through the Regional Offices of the Church of God.
